more notecards.

my sweet friend lisa ordered these cards for gifts for her friends. we had so much fun picking them out! personalized stationary is a great gift, because you can pick the cards out to go with each individual's personality. you'll notice a few different styles, here... and i'm sure each card will tell you a bit about their receiver!

this san lori card is so beautiful. andrea's name is printed in "adine kirnberg," in chocolate to match the card.

andrea can write notes from her whole family with this san lori card. also in chocolate, their family name is printed "cochin" (in all caps).

this jc gingham card is so cute! heather's name is printed in "kayleigh," in chocolate to match the brown stripes of the card.

heather's family card is also made by jc gingham. their name is printed in "gill sans light," in all lower case. so cute!

jennifer's name is printed - you guessed it - in chocolate, using "black jack" on this jc gingham pink paisley notecard.

lisa picked out the same card in blue to be printed with jennifer's monogram. the chocolate monogram is in "harrington."

the same card is used a third time, this time in a pretty lime green, for mr. & mrs. belknap... or make & jen. their names are printed in "century gothic light."

jc gingham also made this sweet aqua & lime paisley card. julie's name is printed in one of my favorite fonts: "amelie." i think it goes perfectly with the swirly, paisley pattern at the bottom of the card. (lisa also ordered this exact card for her sister-in-law, jen yee.)

i love this san lori card! the black & red floral pattern is so striking. the conary family's name is printed in the bottom band in lowercase "cochin." (lisa's sister-in-law is also getting a set of these cards, reading "the yee family.")

christmas card.

this is the rains family's christmas card for 2008! : )

the picture is from when jason and i took emma to see "the wiggles: live!" we had such a great time, and is such a great memory with our "little." emma loved it, despite her non-smile in this picture. but who can get a picture with an almost-2-year-old smiling & looking perfectly at the camera, anyway?

this card is a 5.75" x 8.75" flat card by inviting company. it's a beautiful "lime" green (despite the goldish tone that shows up in this picture) with chocolate accents. the fonts used are "scriptina" and "gill sans light," both in chocolate to match the card.

we really love this card! i can't wait to make more next year... and maybe another baby announcement in the next two years... ok, maybe i'm getting a little ahead of myself. :)

anyway...

merry christmas!

notecards.

my daughter, emma kate, is in the promiseland mother's day out program at mckinney fellowship bible church. her sweet teachers are mrs. kruppe & mrs. hughes. they have taken such great care of emma while mommy is at school, and she loves them very much. every morning on her way to "school" she says, "i'm gonna go see mrs. kruppe & mrs. hughes and play with friends!" : )

since today is the last day of mother's day out before christmas, i made these notecards for emma's teachers for their christmas present. both notecards are from inviting company. on mrs. kruppe's cards, i used black jack font in chocolate, and on mrs. hughes' cards, i used heather font in black.

merry christmas!

baby girl shower.

this shower was this past june, for a friend that i taught with at audelia creek elementary. christa teaches kindergarten at audelia creek, and i helped throw the shower, along with my pre-k teammates & christa's kindergarten teammates. christa's beautiful baby girl, kristen, was born in early september (right after the first week of school!), and both momma and baby are doing great!

i made this invitation, actually, in powerpoint, to send out to the school over email. i used century gothic for the body of the text, and amelia for the cutesy accents. : )

bridal shower.

here is the finished product. this sassy invitation is from bonnie marcus collection. i used black jack as the font on the whole invitation. the text is done in a soft, chocolate brown to match the invitation, and the bride's name is accented in hot pink to pull-out the details in the invitation.

the newlyweds, kristine & nick, were married in sweden over thanksgiving! they will be in the dallas area over christmas, just long enough to visit family and attend this bridal tea in kristine's honor. the hostess of the shower (and nick's mother) is a dear friend of mine from church. she is a wonderful, wise woman who is discipling me, as part of the women's ministry at church. alexa stevens, the shower's second hostess, is the groom's sister.

i'm sure this will be a wonderful shower/bridal tea.

congratulations to mr. & mrs. stevens!

bridal shower still in progress.

this is what i have so far for janell's bridal shower invitation. what do you think?

bridal shower in progress.

this is the latest invitation i'm working on. it's a pretty little thing from bonnie marcus collection.

this invitation was ordered for janell, a sweet woman that is discipling me through the women's ministry at our church. her son, nick, was married over the thanksgiving holiday in sweden, and he and his new wife, kristine, will be in texas for christmas. she is going to take advantage of their holiday visit to throw her new daughter-in-law a bridal shower. seeing as they will be living in sweden, this is also an opportunity for janell to introduce kristine to all of her friends and family.

i will post a proof/wording ideas soon.

gettin' hitched. (an engagement party.)

i made this invitation for my brother and his fiance katie's engagement party. we had a western theme, so the invitation fit perfectly. the paper is from inviting company. i used "p22 cezzane regular" for the accent on this invite.

graduation party.

this invitation was for a cajun/mardi gras themed graduation party. it was hard to find a mardi gras inspired invitation that wasn't too "girly," so this one worked out perfectly for the high school senior "man of honor."

"Laissez les bons tempe rouler!"  - Let the good times roll!

baby dedication.

i love this invitation that i used for emma kate's baby dedication. it has a soft pink border and soft pink accents on the ornate cross "topper." you can't see it in the picture, but the cross is also lightly dusted with shimmery glitter. they are so elegant and sweet!

i used "adine kirnberg" on this invitation.

emma kate's 2nd birthday.

this invitation by picture perfect encompasses everything emma kate's 2nd birthday party was: fun, whimsical, happy, and SO cute. she actually helped pick it out, and was very excited each time she saw her pink "jumpy castle!"

i used "girls are weird" for the text and "love letters" for her name and the big #2 at the top of the bounce house.

emma kate's 1st birthday.

this is from emma's first birthday invitation. combine this piece with a lollipop stick, some cellophane and some pink & green ribbon, and this is what you'll get:

i love this invitation! it is by itty bitty company, inc. it inspired such a fun pink & green theme for emma kate's 1st birthday party.

baby shower.

i just completed these sweet invitations for a sweet friend of mine, missy, who is throwing a baby shower for her sister, ellie.

ellie and her husband, a.j., are expecting their first baby in january. they will name their baby boy anthony jacob and call him "jake." so sweet!

these invitations are made from paper by noteworthy collections, inc. the fonts are "cochin," in small caps, and "marnie regular." i used a blue satin 5/8" ribbon to "tie" it all together.

i hope that ellie enjoys her invitations, her shower, and especially her sweet baby boy.

i will try to get some pics from the shower, later, so you can see the whole theme at work together!
